LOCATION - Lat 37°00'33.07", long 100°53'42.93" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.15, T.35 S., R.33 W., Seward County, KS, Hydrologic Unit 11040006, at the junction of U.S. Highway 83 and U.S. Highway 54 at the east edge of Liberal, 2.0 mi south on U.S. Highway 83, 0.5 mi east, 0.1 mi south and on the east side of road. Owner: U.S. Geological Survey.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 441 ft. Upper casing diameter 2.88 in; top of first opening 426 ft, bottom of last opening 436 ft. Drilled observation well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 2,822 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Undefined, 2.00 ft above land-surface datum, May 3, 1999, to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 2013 to current year.
GAGE - Submersible transducer interfaced to a data-collection platform/data logger with a 1-hour update interval.
REMARKS - Satellite telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum water level 2,664.27 ft above NGVD of 1929, Dec. 19, 2013; minimum, 2,659.70 ft above NGVD of 1929, Sept. 25, 2015.
