  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

USGS Water-Year Summary 2023
370236093174401 Nixa
Ozark Plateaus aquifer system
Canadian Series
LOCATION - Lat 37°02'35.2", long 93°17'42.3" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.13, T.27 N., R.22 W., Christian County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 11010002,
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Land-surface datum was updated to 1,291.97 ft NAVD88 on May 22, 2023, as determined by a GNSS survey by Missouri DNR. Land-surface datum was previously published as 1,295 ft NGVD29 from a topographic map. Discrete water-level measurements prior to May 22, 2023, are referenced to the original datum.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,291.97 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: DNR DCP platform shelf, 4.0 ft above land-surface datum, Jun. 1, 1942 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - 12/11/2008 to present.
GAGE - December 11, 2008 to present; DCP with telemetry capability, and float and encoder, installed as the water level recording and measuring devices.
REMARKS - Record from 12/11/2009 to 08/11/2010 is good based on 9 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.1 ft. Record from 08/11/2010 to 08/03/2011 is good based on 6 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The water level fluctuates 7 to 12 ft 2 to 3 times a day. Because the water levels are in constant flux it is difficult to determine if the gage is reset during the site visits. The record from 08/03/2011 to 07/27/2012 is good except for the period 02/10/2012 to 04/03/2012 which is fair based on 8 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data. The fair record was caused by frequent float sticking problems when the water level dropped below 323.6 ft which occurred most days during this period. Because most the site visits were in response to the float sticking it is difficult to determine the accuracy of the recorded data but based on historic data for the site, the good record is accurate to +/- 0.2 ft and the fair record is accurate to +/- 1 ft. The record from 07/27/2012 to 10/02/2013 is fair based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The water level fluctuates 7 to 12 ft 2 to 3 times a day and may result in poor measurements or the tape slipping on the spline. The record from 10/03/2013 to 12/09/2014 is fair based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The water level fluctuates 7 to 12 ft 2 to 3 times a day and may result in poor measurements. The record from 12/10/2014 to 05/03/2016 is fair based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The water level fluctuates 7 to 12 ft 2 to 3 times a day and may result in poor measurements. The record from 5/4/2016 to 3/28/2017 is fair based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The water level fluctuates 7 to 12 ft 2 to 3 times a day and may result in poor measurements. The record from 03/29/2017 to 06/27/2018 is poor based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data. The water level fluctuates 7 to 12 ft two to three times a day and may result in poor measurements. The poor rating given was due to large spans of missing data due to a failing float and encoder. The record from 06/28/2018 to 11/19/2018 is fair based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The water level fluctuates 7 to 12 ft 2 to 3 times a day and may result in poor measurements. The record from 11/20/2018 to 06/25/2019 is fair based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The water level fluctuates 7 to 12 ft 2 to 3 times a day and may result in poor measurements. The record from 06/26/2019 to 01/14/2020 is fair based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The water level fluctuates 7 to 12 ft 2 to 3 times a day and may result in poor measurements.
