LOCATION - Lat 37°18'41.39", long 81°58'41.10" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Buchanan County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 05070202, 9 mi east of intersection of U.S Highway 460 and State Highway 83 in Grundy, at J.M. Bevins Elementary School. Owner: Buchanan County.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 242 ft. Upper casing diameter 6.63 in; top of first opening 55 ft, bottom of last opening 145.5 ft. Drilled unused water well, cased to 45.0 ft, open hole from 45 to 242 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,442.29 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: TOP OF SHELF, 1.94 ft above land-surface datum, May. 7, 2008 to present.
