LOCATION - Lat 37°22'24.40", long 79°42'35.87" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Bedford County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 03010101, near baseball field at Montvale Elementary School, 10.6 mi west of Bedford. Owner: Bedford County.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 101 ft. Upper casing diameter 6.62 in; top of first opening 62 ft, bottom of last opening 101 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 930 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: TOP OF CASING, 2.90 ft above land-surface datum, May 13, 2008 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 2008 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger and pressure transducer, 15-minute record interval.
COOPERATION - Records provided by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division.
REMARKS - Well is located in Waynesboro Formation of Cambrian age. Water level affected by magnitude 5.8 Mineral, VA earthquake on Aug. 23, 2011.
