LOCATION - Lat 37°25'35.26", long 76°58'12.61" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, New Kent County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 02080206, northwest of intersection of U.S. Highway 60 and State Highway 647, 4.3 mi east of Providence Forge. Owner: Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 125 ft. Upper casing diameter 4.5 in; top of first opening 105 ft, bottom of last opening 125 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 29 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: TOP OF CASING, 3.05 ft above land-surface datum, May 11, 2011 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 2010 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger and pressure transducer, 15-minute record interval.
COOPERATION - Records provided by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division.
REMARKS - Well is located in Chickahominy-Piney Point aquifer of Eocene-Oligocene age. Water levels affected by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee in August and September 2011.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 30.41 ft below land-surface datum, May 6, 2014; lowest recorded, 33.60 ft below land-surface datum, Aug. 26, 2011.
