LOCATION - Lat 37°52'59", long 97°25'29" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.15, T.25 W., R.1 W., Sedgwick County, KS, Hydrologic Unit 11030012, at the downstream side of the county bridge, 2.0 mi south of Sedgwick, 4.1 mi downstream from Sand Creek. Owner: U.S. Geological Survey.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 48.5 ft. Upper casing diameter 2.00 in; top of first opening 38.5 ft, bottom of last opening 48.5 ft. Drilled unused water-table well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,368.68 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: MP is top of 2-in PVC casing, 1.68 ft above land-surface datum, April 20, 2004, to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 1993 to current year.
GAGE - Submersible transducer interfaced to a data-collection platform/data logger with a 1-hour update interval.
REMARKS - Water level flucuates with river stage and nearby pumping.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum water level, 1,359.52 ft above NGVD of 1929, Nov. 4, 1998; minimum, 1,342.87 ft above NGVD of 1929, Sept. 23, 2012.
