LOCATION - Lat 37°58'17", long 85°58'58" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Hardin County, KY, Hydrologic Unit 05140104, Ft. Knox quadrangle, 2.5 mi southwest of West Point, KY, near Army tank display, 200 ft east of Dixie Hwy, along tree line.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 72 ft. Upper casing diameter 2.0 in; top of first opening 62 ft, bottom of last opening 72 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 434.74 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of casing, 3.43 ft above land-surface datum, Aug. 27, 1997, to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1997 to current year.
GAGE - Periodic measurement with chalked tape by USGS personnel.
REMARKS - Ft. Knox project monitoring well.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level measured, 29.45 ft above land-surface datum, Sep. 03, 1997: lowest measured, 37.81 ft below land-surface datum, Feb. 17, 2011.
