LOCATION - Lat 37°59'10", long 91°43'22" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.29, T.38 N., R.7 W., Phelps County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 07140103,
REVISIONS HISTORY - Data from this well from Jan 01, 1985 to Oct. 31, 1986 was published in Berkas and others, 1989 with the site id 37585009143220101. The published water level data in this report was 3.20 ft lower than the approved data for this site because the Berkas and others report had the water level data referenced to the measuring point which is 3.20 ft above land surface. Data is now referenced to land surface instead of the measuring point.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,189 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Undefined, 3.2 ft above land-surface datum, Apr. 30, 1975 to present. --Top of recorder shelf setting on top of casing; 3.2 ft above land surface.
PERIOD OF RECORD - Period of record April 30, 1975 to present. April 30, 1975 to September 16, 1979 are 5-day averages. January 21, 1980 to September 12, 1997 are daily values from Stevens model 7001 analog digital recorder. December 30, 1999 to present, unit values (30-minute data) are available from float and encoder and DCP with telemetry capability.
GAGE - Stevens model A-35 float driven chart recorder installed April 30, 1975. Stevens model 7001 analog digital recorder with float installed January 21, 1980; December 30, 1999 to the present, DCP with telemetry capability and float and encoder installed as the water level recording and measuring devices.
COOPERATION - All data furnished by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR); Record from April 30, 1975 to December 30, 1999 furnished from MDNR. Data from December 30, 1999 to present, processed by USGS and MDNR.
REMARKS - Record from April 30, 1975 to December 30, 1999 is furnished by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR). No water-level measurements data are available for this period because all data have been archived by MDNR. The record was manually processed from strip chart or digital recorder data. This record is considered fair. Data from 12/30/1999 to 09/30/2007 has been processed by the USGS with limited water level measurements (17 measurements) during the period. This record is considered fair. Data from 10/01/2007 to 04/05/2010 is good, except for the period 02/09/2010 to 03/19/2010 which is fair based on 13 water level measurements used to verify the recorded data during this period. The data have been processed by the USGS and MDNR and is accurate to 0.1 ft except for the period 02/09/2010 to 03/19/2010 which may only be accurate to +/- 5.3 ft. The record from 04/05/2010 to 07/01/2010 is good based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 07/01/2010 to 10/06/2011 is good based on 5 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. However two of these measurements were gage restarts. The record from 10/06/2011 to 09/11/2012 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The record from 09/12/2012 to 09/04/2013 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The record from 09/05/2013 to 11/17/2014 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The record from 11/18/2014 to 03/22/2016 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The record from 03/23/2016 to 09/27/2016 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The record from 09/28/2016 to 04/25/2018 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The record from 04/26/2018 to 07/23/2018 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The record from 07/24/2018 to 12/16/2018 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 12/17/2018 to 06/03/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 06/04/2019 to 12/08/2019 is fair based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The fair rating is due to the change in offset and slope that was necessary on 12/05/2019.
