LOCATION - Lat 38°07'55", long 87°55'11" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.31, T.4 S., R.13 W., Posey County, IN, Hydrologic Unit 05120113, on property of the New Harmony Park Board, at the east edge of New Harmony.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 58 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 56 ft, bottom of last opening 58 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 380.55 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: TOP OF FLOOR OF SHELTER, 3 ft above land-surface datum, Sep. 1974 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1967 to September 1971, September 1974 to current year.
GAGE - Water-level recorder.
REMARKS - Water level affected by Wabash River floods. From 10/01/2014 - 10/28/2015 records good From 10/29/2015 - 11/02/2016 records good From 11/03/2016 - 03/02/2017 records good. From 03/03/2016 - 05/10/2017 records good except for missing data.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, 1.84 ft below land-surface datum, May 3, 2011; lowest, 21.40 ft below land-surface datum, Nov. 4, 8-15, 1988.
