LOCATION - Lat 38°15'18", long 85°45'34" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Jefferson County, KY, Hydrologic Unit 05140101, New Albany quadrangle, behind Jefferson County Courthouse Annex building between 5th and 6th Streets, east of walkway to parking garage, in aluminum shelter next to generator. Owner: City of Louisville.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 101 ft. Upper casing diameter 2.5 in; top of first opening 42 ft, bottom of last opening 101 ft. screened 42-44 ft, 61-63 ft, 99-101 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 461.63 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of 2.5 in pvc casing, 3.00 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 27, 1986, to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 1986 to current year.
GAGE - Continuous recorder, 30 minute interval.
REMARKS - Water levels affected by Ohio River stage and pumping from nearby wells.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, 37.12 ft below land-surface-datum, Jan. 19, 2005; lowest, 51.30 ft below land-surface datum, Sep. 28,29, 2007.
