LOCATION - Lat 38°40'53", long 104°49'20" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.06, T.16 S., R.66 W., El Paso County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 11020003, on Fort Carson Military Reservation, 0.4 mi north of Military Route 4, 1.2 mi east of State Highway 115, and 9.1 mi south of Colorado Springs.

CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS

PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1999 to October 2013, May 2014 to March 2021 (discontinued).

INSTRUMENTATION - Tipping-bucket rain gage and air temperature sensor with satellite telemetry. Elevation of gage is 6,120 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.

Maximum daily precipitation, 11.85 inches, Sept. 12, 2013.

Maximum instantaneous air temperature, 42.9 deg C, July 26, 2014. Minimum instantaneous air temperature, -31.5 deg C, Feb. 15, 2021.
