LOCATION - Lat 38°42'53", long 99°18'07" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.27, T.15 S., R.18 W., Ellis County, KS, Hydrologic Unit 10260006, 1.5 mi east of Schoenchen. Owner: City of Hays.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 49 ft. Upper casing diameter 2 in; top of first opening undefined, bottom of last opening undefined. Drilled observation well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,901.87 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: MP is top of 2-in PVC casing, 1906.296 ft above land-surface datum, Dec. 16, 2020 to Jul. 12, 2022; MP is top of 2-in PVC casing, 1906.302 ft above land-surface datum, Jul. 12, 2022 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 2004 to current year.
GAGE - Submersible transducer interfaced to a data-collection platform/data logger with a 15-minute update interval.
REMARKS - Water level fluctuates with nearby pumping.
