LOCATION - Lat 38°42'59", long 99°19'58" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.28, T.15 S., R.18 W., Ellis County, KS, Hydrologic Unit 10260006, 1.0 mi northwest of Schoenchen. Owner: City of Hays.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 57 ft. Upper casing diameter 2 in; top of first opening undefined, bottom of last opening undefined. Drilled observation well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,918.31 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: MP is top of 2-in PVC casing, 1923.018 ft above land-surface datum, Dec. 16, 2020 to Aug. 9, 2022; MP is top of 2-in PVC casing, 1923.031 ft above land-surface datum, Aug. 9, 2022 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2004 to current year.
GAGE - Submersible transducer interfaced to a data-collection platform/data logger with a 1-hour update interval.
REMARKS - Water level fluctuates with nearby pumping.
