LOCATION - Lat 38°51'20.7", long 104°48'07.2" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.05, T.14 S., R.66 W., El Paso County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 11020003, 280 ft northeast of intersection of East Caramillo Street and North Hancock Avenue, 840 ft east of Shooks Run at south end of Patty Jewett Golf Course, 0.2 mi southeast of clubhouse at Patty Jewett Golf Course, and 2.2 mi northeast of courthouse in Colorado Springs.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 2011 to current year (seasonal records only).
INSTRUMENTATION - Tipping-bucket rain gage with satellite telemetry. Elevation of gage is 6,111 ft above NAVD of 1988, from topographic map.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily precipitation, 4.02 inches, Sept. 12, 2013.
