LOCATION - Lat 38°56'39.7", long 104°55'57.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in sec.06, T.13 S., R.67 W., El Paso County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 11020003, in Pike National Forest 25 ft northwest of Rampart Range Road, 0.4 mi southeast of Ormes Peak, 1.1 mi northeast of Palmer Reservoir, and 4.4 mi northwest of Glen Eyrie near Queens Canyon mouth.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 2013 to current year (seasonal records only).
INSTRUMENTATION - Tipping-bucket rain gage with satellite telemetry. Elevation of gage is 9,380 ft above NAVD of 1988, from topographic map.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily precipitation, 4.57 inches, Sept. 12, 2013.
REMARKS - Gage operated seasonally, March through October. Unless otherwise noted, records are not rated, and periods of missing record are not estimated.
