- For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
- For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
- For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
- Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

LOCATION - Lat 38°58'04", long 74°57'42" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Lower Township, Cape May County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02040206, on the north bank at the west end of the Cape May Canal. Updated coordinates as of December 2016: 38.96841900 -74.96175000 Use beach drive to access the well. Park on the side of the road facing north right before the road curves to David Douglas Sr. Memorial park. Walk through the small section of marsh to the wooden fence on the property of the Cape May Ferry. Located on the southeast corner of the Ferry property.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 250 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 241 ft, bottom of last opening 250 ft. Drilled artesian well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 6 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Transfer MP created for migration, 0 ft above land-surface datum, Jun. 30, 1965 to Nov. 16, 1983; BOTTOM OF CUTOUT IN PVC CASING, 3.0 ft above land-surface datum, Nov. 15, 1983 to Aug. 2, 1985; Front edge of cutout in pvc housing, 2.93 ft above land-surface datum, Dec. 1, 1988 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1965 to current year.
GAGE - Water-level recorder.
REMARKS - Water level is affected by tidal fluctuation and nearby pumping.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, 9.25 ft below land surface datum, between Apr 4 2024; lowest, 34.22 ft below land surface datum, Jul 31, 1974.
