LOCATION - Lat 39°07'42.67", long 77°50'44.77" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Clarke County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 02070007, 0.5 mi north of intersection of State Highways 7 and 601.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 63 ft. Upper casing diameter undefined; top of first opening undefined, bottom of last opening undefined. Drilled unused water well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,352.62 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: TOP OF STEEL CASING IN STONE WELLHOUSE, 3.43 ft below land-surface datum, Oct. 22, 2002 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2002 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger and pressure transducer, 15-minute record interval. Prior to Jan. 24, 2003, occasional measurement with chalked tape by USGS personnel.
REMARKS - Well is located in the Buzzard Knob Member of the Weverton Formation of the Chilhowee Group of Lower Cambrian age.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 20.66 ft below land-surface datum, Mar. 15, 2010; lowest recorded, 38.00 ft below land-surface datum, Sept. 30, 2010.
