LOCATION - Lat 39°35'51.57", long 75°37'50.21" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, New Castle County, DE, Hydrologic Unit 02040205, Well located southwest of intersection of DE Route 9 and Governor Lea Road.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 701 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 534 ft, bottom of last opening 539 ft. Drilled, deep aquifer observation well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 55.36 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of inner casing, 3.04 ft above land-surface datum, Apr. 27, 2006 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1954 to October 1980, November 2005 to Current year.
GAGE -
  • Water Years 2014-2016: Records good.

  • Water-level measurements by U.S. Geological Survey personnel. Equipped with digital water-level recorder - 15 minute recording interval, October 2008 to December 2016.
    REMARKS - Tidewater-12 - Exploratory well drilled to bedrock (781 feet); USGS -Potomac Aquifer Study at Standard Chlorine, Delaware City.
    EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water-level measured, 13.85 ft above sea level, September 20, 1954; lowest measured, -134.64 ft above sea level, January 1, 1975.
