GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 98 ft. Upper casing diameter 2 in; top of first opening 93 ft, bottom of last opening 98 ft. Drilled observation well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 10.43 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of inner casing, 2.30 ft above land-surface datum, Jun. 2, 2010 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 2010 to current year.

  • Water years 2014-2016: Records good.

  • Water-level measurements by U.S. Geological Survey personnel. Equipped with a digital water-level recorder -15 minute recording interval, August 2010 to January 26, 2017.
    REMARKS - Well PW-17 - USGS Potomac Aquifer Study at Standard Chlorine, Delaware City. Missing data due to instrument removal during water quality sampling.
    EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water-level measured, 4.34 ft above sea level, October 1, 2010 (recorder); lowest measured, 0.74 ft above sea level, December 2012 (recorder). Lowest water level measured during 2010 aquifer pump test was -5.77 ft above sea level, August 31, 2010 (recorder).
