LOCATION - Lat 39°38'50.87", long 77°34'29.33" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Washington County, MD, Hydrologic Unit 02070004, 0.5 mi south of Smithsburg.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 200 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 128 ft, bottom of last opening 200 ft.

Drilled, observation, water-table well; open hole below 128 ft.

Well sounded at 183.00 ft from MP on March 29, 2023. Next level run due July 2024.

Well has on occasion responded to & nbsp; earthquakes from various locations around the globe as well as in the States.

DATUM - Land-surface datum is 792.81 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of recorder shelter platform, 3.5 ft above land-surface datum, May 2, 1990 to present.

Land-surface datum is 793.09 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of recorder shelter platform, 3.50 ft above land-surface datum, May 2, 1990 to July 02, 2019.

Levels run into site July 02, 2019 show elevation of land surface is 792.81 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 starting July 02, 2019 to present. No change to MP of 3.50 ft above land-surface datum.

PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1970 to current year.
GAGE - Water Year 2016-2024: Record good.
