394028104560201 HARVARD GULCH PRECIPITATION STATION AT DENVER ACADEMY AT DENVER, CO
LOCATION - Lat 39°40'28.97", long 104°56'01.86" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in sec.30, T.4 S., R.67 W., Denver County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 10190002, in the northeast corner of the runoff retention pond located at the front entrance to the Denver Academy school grounds. Prior to April 24, 2024, site was located 150 ft south of East Iliff Avenue, and 600 ft west of South Dahlia Street, in Denver (REVISED).
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 2009 to current year. (seasonal records only).
INSTRUMENTATION - Tipping-bucket rain gage with electronic data logger. Elevation of gage is 5,442 feet above NAVD of 1988, from digital map. Prior to April 23, 2024, the elevation of gage was reported as 5,435 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to April 24, 2024, site was located 150 ft south of East Iliff Avenue, and 600 ft west of South Dahlia Street, in Denver (REVISED).
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - (seasonal only) Maximum daily precipitation, 1.73 inches, June 11, 2015.
REMARKS - Gage operated seasonally, April through September. Tipping-bucket rain gage was removed from the site due to construction, and there will be a gap in data from October 1, 2022, through April 24, 2024, when the gage was replaced following the completion of construction at site.
