LOCATION - Lat 39°40'28.80", long 104°57'00.65" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.25, T.4 S., R.68 W., Denver County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 10190002, 30 ft south of East Iliff Avenue, and 370 ft west of South Adams Street, in Denver.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 2009 to current year (seasonal records only).
INSTRUMENTATION - Tipping-bucket rain gage with satellite telemetry. Elevation of gage is 5,390 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to Apr. 1, 2012, rain gage located about 230 ft east.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - (seasonal only) Maximum daily precipitation, 2.96 inches, May 11, 2023.
REMARKS - Gage operated seasonally, April through September.
