LOCATION - Lat 39°40'27.45", long 104°56'58.30" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.25, T.4 S., R.68 W., Denver County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 10190002, 184 feet south of the southwest corner of East Iliff Avenue and South Adams Street in the northeast corner of the University Park School playground, in Denver.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 2009 to September 2024 (seasonal records only) (discontinued).
INSTRUMENTATION - Tipping-bucket rain gage with satellite telemetry. Elevation of gage was 5395 feet referenced by NGVD29 1929 topographic map. Current elevation of gage is 5395 feet referenced by NAVD88, updated in November 2024. Prior to April 1, 2012, rain gage was located 230 feet east from N 39°40'28.80", W 104°57'00.65". Between April 1, 2012 and March 12, 2024 gage was located at N 39°40'28.80", W 104°57'00.65". After March 12, 2024 gage is located at N 39°40'27.4512", W 104°56'58.2972".
