LOCATION - Lat 39°43'30.32", long 104°49'04.42" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.07, T.4 N., R.66 W., Arapahoe County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 10190003, on left bank 90 ft upstream from East 6th Avenue bridge, 300 ft east of North Sable Boulevard, about 0.5 mi downstream from confluence of East and West Toll Gate Creeks, and about 2.80 river miles upstream from confluence with Sand Creek, in Aurora.
DRAINAGE AREA - 34.6 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 2012 to current year (seasonal records only).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 5,390 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
REMARKS - Water year 2014; records good except for the period June 24 to Sept. 2, which is fair, and estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2015; records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2016; records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2017; records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2018; records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2019; records good except for the period May 21-26, which is fair, and estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2020; records fair except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2023; records fair except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. At times, high water levels in Cherry Creek Lake can result in uncontrolled flow over the spillway. These spillway releases are diverted into Toll Gate Creek upstream from this station. 
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 5,470 ft³/s, Sept. 14, 2013, from rating curve extended above 3,100 ft³/s, gage height, 12.81 ft.
