LOCATION - Lat 39°48'39.5", long 104°57'05.7" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.12, T.3 S., R.68 W., Adams County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 10190003, on left bank 450 ft downstream from confluence of Burlington Ditch and Sand Creek, 900 ft upstream from mouth, in the northeast corner of Metro Wastewater Plant, and 1.0 mi west-southwest of intersection of East 64th Avenue and U.S. Highway 6 and 85, in Commerce City.
DRAINAGE AREA - 187 mi².

GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 5,120 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Mar. 1, 2000 to Nov. 26, 2008, at site 400 ft upstream at different datum.

Peak discharge determined by using peak at upstream site, 06714360 (14,800 ft³/s, Sept. 12, from critical-depth measurement of peak flow), and adding 100 ft³/s for flow through tainter gage into Sand Creek, gage height unknown. Maximum known gage height, from backwater from construction, site and datum then in use, may have been exceeded when gage washed away during flood of Sept. 12, 2013.
