LOCATION - Lat 40°08'10.2", long 75°21'02.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Montgomery County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02040203, at Willow and Locust Streets, Norristown.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 486 ft. Upper casing diameter 12 in; top of first opening 78 ft, bottom of last opening 486 ft. Drilled unused well, cased to 78 ft, open hole.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 167 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: top of plywood shelf, 2.35 ft above land-surface datum, Mar. 17, 1981 to present. Elevation of land surface is from topographic map.
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1956 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger with 15-minute recording interval.
COOPERATION - Site maintained in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Daily maximum water levels are available for this well for the period of record. For some years, daily minimum and daily mean water levels may also be available from the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center Office. Water level may be affected by pumping of nearby well.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Prior to October 2000, the extremes were based on extremes of the daily maximum depth below land-surface datum. Since that date, the extremes are based on the instantaneous depth below land-surface datum. Highest water level, 1.97 ft below land-surface datum, Sep 9, 2011; lowest, 60.25 ft below land-surface datum, Nov 5, 6, 1963.
