LOCATION - Lat 40°16'53.7", long 88°21'20.2" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.13, T.21 N., R.7 E., Champaign County, IL, Hydrologic Unit 07130006, about 2 mi south of Fisher at Champaign County (Sangamon) Forest Preserve and 0.3 mi west of the Sangamon River. Local names: CHAM08-09D and CHAM08-WT. Owner: U.S. Geological Survey.
REVISIONS HISTORY -

Revisions: Groundwater levels for the period Oct. 19, 2021, to July 26, 2021, were revised Nov. 22, 2021, because the incorrect measuring point was used.

Revisions: Land-surface datum was updated to 713.83 ft NAVD88 on Feb. 23, 2023, as determined by a GNSS Level II survey. Land-surface datum was previously published as 713.90 ft NAVD88. Discrete water-level measurements prior to Feb. 23, 2023, are referenced to the original datum.

GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 19.6 ft. Upper casing diameter 2 in; top of first opening 9.1 ft, bottom of last opening 19.1 ft. Well-casing includes schedule 40 PVC pipe, 7.75 in. diameter borehole with bentonite seal, observation well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 713.83 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of PVC well casing; south side, MP alt 716.73 NAVD88, 2.83 ft above land-surface datum, Jul. 26, 2010 to Feb. 23, 2023; Top of PVC well casing; south side, MP alt 716.73 NAVD88, 2.725 ft above land-surface datum, Feb. 23, 2023 to present.
