LOCATION - Lat 40°16'53.7", long 88°21'20.2" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.13, T.21 N., R.7 E., Champaign County, IL, Hydrologic Unit 07130006, about 2 mi south of Fisher at Champaign County (Sangamon) Forest Preserve and 0.3 mi west of the Sangamon River. Local names: CHAM08-09D and CHAM08-WT. Owner: U.S. Geological Survey.
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 19.6 ft. Upper casing diameter 2 in; top of first opening 9.1 ft, bottom of last opening 19.1 ft. Well-casing includes schedule 40 PVC pipe, 7.75 in. diameter borehole with bentonite seal, observation well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 713.9 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of PVC well casing; south side, 2.83 ft above land-surface datum, Jul. 26, 2010 to present.
