LOCATION - Lat 40°27'37.6", long 77°10'07.3" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Perry County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050304, at Little Buffalo State Park.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 150 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 18 ft, bottom of last opening 150 ft. Drilled observation well, cased to 18 ft, open hole.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 515 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: top of casing, 2.9 ft above land-surface datum, Jul. 3, 2001 to present. Elevation of land surface is from Lidar.
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 2001 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform with 15-minute recording interval since April 2023; prior, 60-minute recording interval. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Site maintained in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Daily mean water levels are available for this well for the period of record. For some years, daily minimum and daily maximum water levels may also be available from the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center Office.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - The extremes shown are extremes of the instantaneous depth below land surface for the period of record indicated above. Highest water level, 7.85 ft below land-surface datum, March 11, 2011; lowest, 17.83 ft below land-surface datum, Nov 24, 2001.
