LOCATION - Lat 40°34'30.4", long 75°39'22.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Lehigh County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02040106, at Haafsville.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 184 ft. Upper casing diameter 10 in; top of first opening 63 ft, bottom of last opening 184 ft. Drilled observation well, cased to 63 ft, open hole.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 473 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: top of casing; MODIFIED DATE FOR AQ MIGRATION; 01/ /1971, 1.45 ft above land-surface datum, Jul. 1, 1958 to Mar. 18, 1981; top of plywood shelf, 2.65 ft above land-surface datum, Mar. 18, 1981 to present. Elevation of land surface is from Lidar.
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1971 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform with 15-minute recording interval since June 2023; prior, 60-minute recording interval. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Site maintained in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Daily maximum water levels are available for this well for the period of record. For some years, daily minimum and daily mean water levels may also be available from the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center Office. Water-quality records for 1973-75 are also available from the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center Office.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Prior to October 2000, the extremes were based on extremes of the daily maximum depth below land-surface datum. Since that date, the extremes are based on the instantaneous depth below land-surface datum. Highest water level, 33.72 ft below land-surface datum, Apr 3, 1994; lowest, 93.42 ft below land-surface datum, Feb 6, 1971.
