LOCATION - Lat 40°42'11.1", long 73°34'06.9" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Nassau County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 02030202, at south side of Van Buren Avenue, 34 ft west of Merrick Avenue, Freeport.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Groundwater levels for the period July 7, 2020 to Sept. 9, 2020, were deleted on Apr. 22, 2025, because of an equipment malfunction.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 33 ft. Upper casing diameter 1.25 in; top of first opening 30 ft, bottom of last opening 33 ft. Datum of gage is NGVD of 1929.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 59.84 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of coupling, 0.27 ft below land-surface datum, 60.73 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Nov. 10, 1992 to Jun. 24, 2015; Top of 2 in. PVC casing, 60.64 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jun. 23, 2015 to present.  
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1989 to current year.
GAGE - Water-level recorder installed October 2002 to October 2024; 15-minute recording interval. Periodic manual measurements made by USGS personnel.
REMARKS - Replaced well N1615.3 in October 1989 near same location. Cellular water-level telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 44.07 ft above NGVD of 1929, Apr. 7, 2010; lowest measured, 32.74 ft above NGVD of 1929, Aug. 23, 2002.
