LOCATION - Lat 40°45'19.6", long 77°57'58.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Centre County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050204, at State Game Land No. 176, and near Fairbrook.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 130 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 40 ft, bottom of last opening 130 ft. Drilled observation well, cased to 40 ft, open hole.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,146 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: top of casing; MODIFIED DATE FOR AQ MIGRATION; 01/01/1968, 2.89 ft above land-surface datum, Jan. 18, 1967 to Dec. 12, 2007; top of instrument shelf, 2.95 ft above land-surface datum, Dec. 12, 2007 to present. Elevation of land surface is from Lidar.
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1968 to June 1981, July 1984 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger with 15-minute recording interval.
COOPERATION - Site maintained in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Daily maximum water levels are available for this well for the period of record. For some years, daily minimum and daily mean water levels may also be available from the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center Office.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Prior to October 2000, the extremes shown were based on extremes of the daily maximum depth below land-surface datum. Since that date, the extremes are based on the instantaneous depth below land-surface datum. Highest water level, 43.86 ft below land-surface datum, Jul 1, 2005; lowest, 80.14 ft below land-surface datum, Mar 26, 1970.
