LOCATION - Lat 41°24'58.3", long 78°32'42.7" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Elk County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 05010005, at St. Marys.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 340 ft. Upper casing diameter 12 in; top of first opening 40 ft, bottom of last opening 340 ft. Drilled observation well, cased to 40 ft, open hole.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,741 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: TOP OF INSTRUMENT SHELF; VALUE FROM LATER MP RECORD; CREATED FOR AQ MIGR; MOD DATE; 11/18/1974, 2.65 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 22, 1974 to Jul. 25, 2001; top of instrument shelf, 2.65 ft above land-surface datum, Jul. 25, 2001 to present. Prior to July 25, 2001, top of casing, 2.30 ft above land-surface datum. Elevation of land surface is from Lidar.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1974 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform with 15-minute recording interval. Cellular telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Site maintained in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Daily maximum water levels are available for this well for the period of record. For some years, daily minimum and daily mean water levels may also be available from the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center Office.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Prior to October 2000, the extremes were based on extremes of the daily maximum depth below land-surface datum. Since that date, the extremes are based on the instantaneous depth below land-surface datum. Highest water level, 1.95 ft below land-surface datum, Mar 4, 1991. Lowest water level, 9.24 ft below land-surface datum, Jan 21, 1996.
