LOCATION - Lat 41°29'18", long 71°32'10" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Washington County, RI, Hydrologic Unit 01090005, Located approximately 0.45 mi north of Route 138 and 0.83 mi west of Old North Road in South Kingstown.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Field measurements reported in North American Vertical Datum of 1988 and National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 were revised on October 22, 2024 to reflect update to land-surface datum elevation.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 34 ft. Upper casing diameter 10 in; top of first opening 34 ft, bottom of last opening 34 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 111.1 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: top of hole in base of recorder shelter, 0.04 ft above land-surface datum, Nov. 1, 1947 to Mar. 20, 2002; marked front of hole in floor of recorder shelter, 3.07 ft above land-surface datum, Mar. 19, 2002 to Jul. 25, 2017; marked front of hole in floor of recorder shelter, 3.08 ft above land-surface datum, Jul. 24, 2017 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - November to December 1947, February 1955 to current year.
GAGE - Digital recorder, June 1988 to current year, continuous graphic recorder, July 1973 to May 1988, monthly measurements prior to July 1973. Land-surface datum of gage is 111.1 ft above NAVD of 1988.
COOPERATION - Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, Rhode Island Water Resources Board.
REMARKS - Records are good. Periods of missing record are not estimated. Original well landscape significantly altered during construction of parking lot during 2002 water year. Land-surface datum changes unknown.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, 6.91 ft below land-surface datum, Apr. 25 and 26, 1983; lowest, 15.06 ft below land-surface datum, Dec. 29, 1965.
