LOCATION - Lat 41°47'42.08", long 72°13'43.09" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Tolland County, CT, Hydrologic Unit 01100002, at School of Agronomy, University of Connecticut, Rt. 195, Mansfield, down access road to farm house, 150 ft from end of road, 40 ft south side of road, Mansfield; Coventry quadrangle.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 22 ft. Upper casing diameter 2 in; top of first opening 20 ft, bottom of last opening 22 ft. Bored, unused, water-table well, PVC casing.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 655.06 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: TOP OF PVC CASING, 1.2 ft above land-surface datum, Jun. 7, 1982 to Feb. 15, 2002; Black mark in gage house, 4.28 ft above land-surface datum, Feb. 14, 2002 to present; Black mark in gage house, 659.34 ft above land-surface datum, Sep. 12, 2016 to present. Prior to September 12, 2016, land-surface datum was reported as 654 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to Feb. 2002, measuring point was top of steel protective casing between hacksaw marks, 1.20 ft above land-surface datum.
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 1982 to current year.
GAGE - Prior to May 1984 measurements made monthly; November 1990 through September 1994 measurements made biweekly with a chalked tape; October 1994 through September 1996 measurements made biweekly with an electric tape; October 1996 to current year measurements made monthly or bimonthly with an electric tape. Submersible pressure transducer/data logger Mar. 14, 2002 to current year, collects 1-hour water-level data. All measurements made by USGS personnel.

Highest water level measured, 0.20 ft above land-surface datum, Mar. 8, 2008 (recorded); lowest water level measured, 10.58 ft below land-surface datum, Sept. 28, 1995 (measured).
