LOCATION - Lat 41°51'04.5", long 121°23'33.7" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.03, T.4600 N., R.500 E., Modoc County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18010204, within Lava Beds National Monument at Prisoner's Rock. The well is located approximately 1/4 mile west of Road 120 on an unnamed dirt road just to the north of Prisoner's Rock. From this unnamed dirt road, the well is 235 feet to the south.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 80 ft. Upper casing diameter 4.5 in; top of first opening 47.5 ft, bottom of last opening 88.8 ft. Well unused.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 4,057.7 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Transfer MP created for migration, 0 ft above land-surface datum, May. 8, 1966 to Jun. 28, 2000; 'TOP EDGE OF CASING ON SW SIDE THROUGH CRACK BETWEEN LD AND TOP OF CASING', 1.75 ft above land-surface datum, Jun. 27, 2000 to Oct. 31, 2000; Top of plate on casing top, 1.75 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 31, 2000 to present.
