LOCATION - Lat 41°53'56", long 87°57'50" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.3, T.39 N., R.11 E., Du Page County, IL, Hydrologic Unit 07120004, on Du Page County Flood Control Project service road, 50 ft west of State Highway 83, and on top of flood control building at Elmhurst.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Data for April 26, 2023 was revised when it was discovered that test tips and calibration tips were left in the record when they should have been deleted. They were deleted and a single point of 0.00 inches was added at 11:30am based on field notes and a force interpolation qualifier was applied.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS

PRECIPITATION: July 1997 to current.
INSTRUMENTATION - Unheated tipping-bucket rain gage and satellite telemeter. Prior to November 12, 2020 the tipping bucket data was worked as the primary record. After November 12, 2020, the OTT weighing bucket data became the primary record.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily total, 4.88 in., September 13, 2008.
REMARKS - Collection, computation, and publication of precipitation data do not necessarily conform to standards used by the National Weather Service. Precipitation data could be subject to error for days with freezing and/or thawing of precipitation, which are identified as estimated (e).
