LOCATION - Lat 42°28'48", long 88°19'10" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 SE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.8, T.46 N., R.8 E., McHenry County, IL, Hydrologic Unit 07120006, 58 ft. east of gravel farm road, 59 ft. north of Route 173 (Kenosha St.), 0.7 mi. west of Richmond and Route 12 (Main St.), 1.3 mi. south of Genoa City, and 0.2 mi. southwest of North Branch Nippersink Creek. Owner: McHenry County.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Land-surface datum was updated to 844.36 ft NAVD88 on May 30, 2023, as determined by a GNSS Level II survey. Land-surface datum was previously published as 844.15 ft NAVD88 (furnished). Discrete water-level measurements prior to May 30, 2023, are referenced to the original datum.
 
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 24 ft. Upper casing diameter 2 in; top of first opening 19 ft, bottom of last opening 23.5 ft. Well-casing includes 2-inch schedule 40 PVC pipe, 10 in. diameter borehole with bentonite seal, observation well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 844.36 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of PVC Casing; High point marked, 2.12 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 6, 2008 to present.

GROUND-WATER LEVELS: February 2009 to current.
GROUND-WATER QUALITY:
  CHEMICAL: Water years 2010 and 2012.
  WATER TEMPERATURE: April 2011 to March 2017.
  SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: April 2011 to March 2017.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD -
GROUND-WATER LEVELS: Highest water level, 1.91 ft below land-surface datum, April 18, 2013; lowest, 11.15 ft below land-surface datum, December 4 and 5, 2012.
WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 13.3 oC, Several days during 2012; Minimum, 8.0 oC, several days during 2015.
SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 2,690 uS/cm at 25oC, April 12, 2015; Minimum, 1,190 uS/cm at 25oC, April 22 and 23, 2013.
