LOCATION - Lat 43°00'27", long 102°31'18" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.17, T.35 N., R.44 W., UNSPECIFIEDSD, Hydrologic Unit 10140201, 2.0 mi southeast of Pine Ridge.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 180 ft. Upper casing diameter 16 in; top of first opening 60 ft, bottom of last opening 180 ft. Drilled production well, slotted from 60 to 180 ft. Inside is a 12 in. steel liner from -2.00 to 60 ft with a 12-in diameter wire-wrapped screen from 60 to 140 ft. Annular space filled with Luther Mattox Type C well gravel.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 3,299.74 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of steel casing, on the south east side, 2.0 ft above land-surface datum, Sep. 16, 1987 to Jul. 20, 2022; Top of steel casing, on the south east side, 1.42 ft above land-surface datum, Jul. 20, 2022 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - Periodic measurements by USGS September 1987 to June 1989. Continuous recorder June 1989 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite data-collection platform, 60 minute recording interval.
REMARKS - For Oct. 1, 2013 to Sept. 30, 2023, records good.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest daily water level (in NWIS), 37.82 ft below land-surface datum, 1/29/2001. Lowest water level, 44.79 ft below land-surface datum, 5/09/2024.
