LOCATION - Lat 45°31'07", long 106°11'06" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.04, T.4 S., R.45 E., Powder River County, MT, Hydrologic Unit 10090102, Owner: U.S. Geological Survey.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 68 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 7 ft, bottom of last opening 70 ft. Drilled in December 1979.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 3,020 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: top of casing, 1.7 ft above land-surface datum, Dec. 7, 1979 to present; Top of recorder shelter, 1.55 ft above land-surface datum, Jan. 7, 2002 to present. Reference point established Sept. 16, 2003: top of steel rod 21 ft northeast of well casing, 1.66 ft below measuring point.
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 1979 to August 2018 (discontinued).
GAGE - Routine measurement with e-tape or steel tape December 1979 to August 2018. Graphical water-level recorder from April 1980 to October 1982. Digital water-level recorder set to record every 12 hours from October 1982 to October 1995; every hour from October 1995 to August 2018.
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - October 1982 to August 2018 (discontinued).
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest recorded instantaneous water level, 0.63 ft below land-surface datum, June 7, 2007; lowest water level (daily statistic), 11.45 ft below land-surface datum, October 5, 1992.
