LOCATION - Lat 45°44'27", long 84°42'40" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.29, T.39 N., R.3 W., Cheboygan County, MI, Hydrologic Unit 04070003, at Stimpson Road, 3 mi southeast of Mackinaw City. Owner: U.S. Geological Survey.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 55 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 40 ft, bottom of last opening 55 ft. Water-table well. The hole for well was drilled with an unknown-inch-diameter cable tool to a depth of 55 feet. The well is constructed of a 6-inch-diameter, unknown-inch PVC slotted well screen, attached to 6-inch-diameter, PVC well casing. This casing stick-up was 2.50 feet above land surface when measured on February 15, 1979. The open interval of the well is between 40 and 55 feet below land surface and the well is 55 feet deep.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 710.39 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: TOP OF CASING, 2.5 ft above land-surface datum, Feb. 15, 1979 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD -
Periodic water levels were recorded during February 1979 to May 1992, December 1997 to September 2001. Quarter-hourly water levels were recorded during September 5, 2001 at 06:15 CST to the present.
Records for the 1992 water year are unpublished and available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey.
