LOCATION - Lat 47°22'04", long 111°11'26" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.26, T.19 N., R.4 E., Cascade County, MT, Hydrologic Unit 10030102,
REVISIONS HISTORY - Measured groundwater levels and recorded values from the beginning of record to August 3, 2011 were removed on May 16, 2018 due to the discovery of aquifer connectivity issues.
Groundwater levels for the period of August 3, 2011 to February 2, 2016 were revised on May 16, 2018 to address reversals found in the record.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 198 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 130 ft, bottom of last opening 170 ft. Drilled in spring of 1983.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 3,817 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: hole in PVC cap, drilled at top of PVC casing, 1.1 ft above land-surface datum, Feb. 9, 1995 to present. Reference point established Apr. 26, 1999: top of steel rod near casing, 0.19 ft above measuring point.
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 2011 to April 2019 (discontinued). Records furnished by Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology; March 2017 to April 2019.
GAGE - Routine measurement with e-tape and digital water-level recorder set to record every 1 hour from August 2011 to current year.
COOPERATION - This site is operated in cooperation with Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology.
