50039500 RIO CIBUCO AT VEGA BAJA, PR
LOCATION - Lat 18°26'50.38", long 66°22'27.75" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Vega Baja Municipio, PR, Hydrologic Unit 21010002, on left bank, at bridge on Highway 2, 0.6 mi (1 km) downstream from Río Indio and 0.8 mi (1.3 km) east of Vega Baja.
DRAINAGE AREA - 85.2 mi². (221 km2), of which 5.32 mi² (13.8 km2), is noncontributing.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Drainage area revised in 2021 based on ArcHydro 2020, more detailed topo used.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1959 to May 1963; occasional medium stage measurements, January 1964 to November 1970; annual maximum discharge at crest-stage partial record. January 1, 1973 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and satellite telemetry at station. Elevation of gage is 33 ft (10 m) above National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD) of 1929, from topographic map.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of December 11, 1965, reached a stage of 26.2 ft (7.99 m), datum unknown, discharge about 28,000 ft³/s (793 m3/s).
