The PRVD02 datum of gage was determined from a GNSS Level 2 single-base static survey of RM-2 (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.000), GEOID18), completed by USGS personnel August 6, 2018.
Prior to October 1, 1983, at site 2,000 ft (610 m) downstream at different datum approximately 35 ft (10 m) lower. Elevation or datum of gage was previously reported as 525 ft (160 m) above NGVD of 1929 and LMSL (OldPR); established via topographic map. The new GNSS survey was used to establish the PRVD02 datum because the topographic map datum did not meet the new accuracy requirements. This datum was revised in October of 2022.
