50111300 LAGO GUAYABAL AT DAMSITE NEAR JUANA DIAZ, PR
LOCATION - Lat 18°05'16.06", long 66°30'07.42" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Juana Diaz Municipio, PR, Hydrologic Unit 21010004, at Damsite, 2.3 mi (3.7 km) northeast from Juana Díaz plaza, 0.7 mi (1.13 km) northeast from Salvador Bousquets School, and 2.45 mi (3.94 km) southeast from Zoilo Gracia School.
DRAINAGE AREA - 43.28 mi². (42.1 km2).
REVISIONS HISTORY - Datum of gage was previously reported in the site file as 328.1 ft (100.0 m) above NGVD29 and LMSL-Old PR. NGVD29 datum does not exist in Puerto Rico and the correct LMSL-Old PR elevation is 300 ft (91.4 m), published historical records did not reflect this site file typo. Revised to PRVD02 Datum in October 2022. 
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 20, 1995 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, satellite and radio telemetry at station. Datum of gage is above Local Mean Sea Level (LMSL- Old PR) and above Puerto Rico Vertical Datum of 2002 (PRVD02).
COOPERATION - Puerto Rico Electrical Power Authority (PREPA).
REMARKS - Lago Guayabal was completed in 1913. The dam is a reinforced concrete, flatslab and buttress-type structure about 130 ft (40 m) height, a net crest length at the right side of the dam of 693 ft (211 m) and a crest elevation of 331 ft (101 m). It has a maximum storage capacity of 7,600 acre-ft (9.37 hm3). The Lago Guayabal dam primary purpose is for irrigation of lands served by the Juana Díaz Irrigation canal.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum elevation, 342.89 ft (104.51 m), April 26, 2002; minimum elevation, 325.99 ft (99.36 m), September 29, 1997.
