LOCATION.--Lat 42°49'46.3", long 78°46'30.1" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Erie County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 04120103, on right bank 30 ft upstream from bridge on Ridge Road in Ebenezer, 4.0 mi upstream from mouth, and 5.0 mi southeast of Buffalo.
DRAINAGE AREA.--135 mi².
PERIOD OF RECORD.--June 1940 to current year.
REVISIONS HISTORY.--WDR NY-73-1: 1972 (M). WDR NY-82-3: Drainage area.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 604.86 ft above legacy datum (previously published as NGVD of 1929) and 603.80 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to Apr. 4, 1955, at datum 2.00 ft higher. Apr. 4 to Oct. 12, 1955, nonrecording gage at temporary site 1.3 mi downstream at different datum.
REMARKS.--Water Years 2014-23: Records good except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 14,700 ft³/s, Sept. 9, 2004, gage height, 14.85 ft; maximum gage height, 15.82 ft, present datum, Mar. 1, 1955; minimum discharge, 2.6 ft³/s, Nov. 7, 1953; minimum gage height, 1.76 ft, Sept. 15, 1991.
