Kennedy International Airport, in grassy area at Federal
Circle, 160 ft west of Federal Circle Loop Road, near Bergan
Road split, just east of Van Wyck Expressway, northernmost
well, South Ozone Park.
WELL CHARACTERISTICS.--Depth 400 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 290 ft, bottom of last opening 310 ft.
DATUM.--Land-surface datum is 22.7 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Northside top of casing, 21.764 ft above land-surface datum, UNDEFINED BEGIN DATE to present; Top of coupling, 1.30 ft below land-surface datum, 21.4 ft above land-surface datum, Dec. 30, 1981 to Aug. 6, 2024.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--December 1981 to May 2018, May 2024 to current year. Unpublished records for December 1981 to September 1987 are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey.
GAGE.--Water level recorder installed August 2024 to current year. Periodic manual measurements made by USGS personnel.
