LOCATION.--Lat 40°39'31.3", long 73°48'27.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Queens County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 02030202, at John F. Kennedy International Airport, in grassy area at Federal Circle, 160 ft west of Federal Circle Loop Road, near Bergan Road split, just east of Van Wyck Expressway, southernmost well, South Ozone Park.
WELL CHARACTERISTICS.--Depth 31 ft. Upper casing diameter 2 in; top of first opening 29 ft, bottom of last opening 31 ft.
DATUM.--Land-surface datum is 21 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of coupling, 0.26 ft above land-surface datum, 21.26 ft above land-surface datum, Dec. 30, 1981 to Aug. 6, 2024; Northside top of casing, 23.011 ft above land-surface datum, Aug. 6, 2024 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--December 1981 to May 2018, May 2024 to current year. Unpublished records for December 1981 to September 1987 are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey.
GAGE.--Periodic manual measurements by USGS personnel.
REMARKS.--Water level affected by tidal fluctuation and local dewatering.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Highest water level measured, 4.81 ft above NGVD of 1929, Oct. 26, 2005; lowest measured, 3.62 ft below NGVD of 1929, Dec. 22, 1998.
