year. Prior to April 2009, published as "Owasco Inlet at
Moravia" (station 04235300).
Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 716.73 ft above
NAVD of 1988. Prior to April 2009, at site 0.6 mi downstream at datum
5.56 ft lower.
Water Years 2014-16: Records good except those for
estimated daily discharges, which are fair.
Water Years 2017-18: Records fair except those for estimated daily
discharges, which are poor.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--
Maximum discharge, 11,600 ft³/s,
June 30, 1961, gage height, 12.20 ft, site and datum then in use, from
rating curve extended above 530 ft³/s on basis of contracted-opening
measurement of peak flow; maximum gage height, 12.76 ft, site and datum
then in use, Mar. 5, 1964 (backwater from Owasco Lake); minimum
discharge, 3.5 ft³/s, Sept. 24, 25, 1964.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD.--
Flood of June 23, 1972,
reached a stage of 16.17 ft, site and datum then in use, from
floodmarks, discharge, about 5,200 ft³/s.
