> Site Information
LOCATION.--Lat 44°20'48.1", long 73°52'09" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Essex County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 04300104, on right bank 260 ft upstream of culvert on State Highway 86, about 1 mi southeast of High Falls Gorge.
DRAINAGE AREA.--0.41 mi².  
GAGE.--There is no gage. Discharge is estimated based on records for West Branch Ausable River Tributary 2 below State Highway 86 near Wilmington, NY (station 04274051) and adjusted for intervening area.
REMARKS.--Water Years 2021-22: Records poor.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 22.7 ft³/s, estimated, Mar. 26, 2021; minimum discharge, 0.02 ft³/s, estimated, Aug. 20, 2022. Both extremes were determined on basis of computation of flow at West Branch Ausable River Tributary 2 below State Highway 86 near Wilmington, NY (station 04274051) and adjusted for intervening area.
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD1.--WATER TEMPERATURE: November 2019 to January 2023.
SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: November 2019 to January 2023. 
INSTRUMENTATION1.--A continuous water-quality monitor with water temperature and specific conductance provides 15-minute-interval readings.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD1.--WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 18.5 °C, July 12, 2020; minimum, -0.1 °C on several days during winter periods.
SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 92 uS/cm at 25 °C, Sept. 19, 2022; minimum, 18 uS/cm at 25 °C, Jan. 12, 2020.
