03217500 Scioto River at La Rue, OH LOCATION.--Lat 40°34'19", long 83°23'03",Marion County, OH, Hydrologic Unit 05060001, on left upstream side of State Route 37 bridge, 0.2 mi south of LaRue, 2.9 mi downstream from Wildcat Creek, 3.1 mi upstream from Rush Creek. DRAINAGE AREA.--257 mi2. PERIOD OF RECORD.--August 1926 to December 1935, January 1938 to December 1951, October 2009 to current year. EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD.--Flood of Mar. 26, 1913 reached a stage of 17.8 ft. Flood of Jan. 21, 1959 reached a stage of 14.2 ft in gage well, 15.3 ft from outside floodmark; discharge, 16,300 ft3/s, based on contracted-opening measurement of peak flow.Want to learn more about areas near this gage that are inundated during flooding?
