14302480 TRASK RIVER ABOVE CEDAR CREEK, NEAR TILLAMOOK, OR
LOCATION - Lat 45°26'47", long 123°42'33" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.30, T.1 S., R.8 W., Tillamook County, OR, Hydrologic Unit 17100203, on right bank, 0.1 mi upstream from Cedar Creek, 6.8 mi east of Tillamook and at mile 10.95.
DRAINAGE AREA - 156 mi². at Long Prairie Road bridge, 4.0 mi downstream, where all non-wading discharge measurements are made.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1996 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 70 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
REMARKS - No regulation. Water diverted from J.W. Barney Reservoir (capacity, 20,000 acre-ft) on Middle Fork of North Fork of Trask River into the headwaters of Tualatin River for industrial use and pollution abatement. Continuous water-quality records for period August 2011 to October 2014 have been collected at this location.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of Feb. 8, 1996, reached a stage of 23.2 ft, from floodmark, discharge, 25,800 ft³/s, on basis of slope-area measurement of peak flow.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 22,500 ft³/s Nov. 25, 1999, gage height, 21.77 ft; minimum discharge, 47 ft³/s Sept. 15, 16, 22, 23, 2014.
